Workplace Physician Service
A workplace physician refers to a medical doctor who is authorized by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services to work in the field of occupational health and safety and holds a certified workplace physician license. In addition to conventional medical approaches, a workplace physician monitors the health of employees in the workplace, evaluates the factors affecting their health, provides improvement suggestions, and plays a crucial role in the prevention of occupational diseases.
Workplace Physician Working Hours
The working hours of the workplace physician are calculated based on the current number of employees at the workplace and its hazard classification. Accordingly:

Low Hazard Class: 5 minutes per employee

Medium Hazard Class: 10 minutes per employee

High Hazard Class: 15 minutes per employee
Duties of the Workplace Physician

Ensure the preparation of the occupational health compliance control form

Make necessary reports and notifications based on the compliance form

Provide guidance and consultancy to the employer regarding occupational health

Assess the suitability of new hires for the job from a health perspective

Perform pre-employment and periodic medical examinations

Provide employees with general health education

Evaluate ergonomic and psychosocial risks in the work process and ensure job-employee compatibility

Participate in occupational health and safety board activities

Contribute to workplace supervision and monitoring systems

Conduct necessary inspections for maintenance and hygiene of facilities such as cafeterias, dormitories, childcare areas, changing rooms, showers, and toilets

Observe and evaluate occupational hygiene processes from a health perspective

Participate in workplace risk assessment processes

Conduct preventive health checks in accordance with legislation on workplace risk evaluations

Monitor the health of employees returning to work after an occupational accident

Monitor the health of employees from special policy groups

Ensure health surveillance of employees, including night shifts

Supervise general workplace hygiene conditions

Prepare annual occupational health and training plans

Prepare the annual evaluation report
