Occupational Safety Specialist Service
An Occupational Safety Specialist refers to professionals authorized by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services to work in the field of occupational health and safety and who hold an occupational safety specialist certification. The levels of expertise begin with Class C and progress to Class B and finally to Class A as the necessary requirements are met.
Occupational safety specialists are professionals who can combine their sectoral experience, knowledge of legislation, and observation and research skills with the dynamic processes of the company they serve, which may vary. For this reason, it is a field that must be applied “on-site.”
Working Hours of an Occupational Safety Specialist:
The working hours of an occupational safety specialist are calculated based on the current number of employees and the workplace’s hazard class. Accordingly:

Low Hazard Class: 10 minutes per person

Medium Hazard Class: 20 minutes per person

High Hazard Class: 40 minutes per person
Duties of an Occupational Safety Specialist:

Ensure the preparation of the Occupational Safety Compliance Control Form

Provide reports and information based on the compliance control form

Deliver occupational safety training and assess its effectiveness

Establish and manage monitoring and inspection systems in the workplace

Conduct site inspections and report to relevant personnel

Participate in occupational health and safety board meetings and serve as secretary when necessary

Prepare the annual work plan and monitor compliance

Prepare the training plan and monitor compliance

Prepare the annual evaluation report

Provide guidance and consultancy to the employer on occupational safety

Audit subcontractors and report to management (organize and coordinate subcontractor management systems)

Conduct risk assessments

Prepare emergency plans, support the formation of emergency teams, and guide the employer in emergency training and drills

Ensure fire safety, support the formation and training of teams

Prepare internal regulations/instructions

Develop work permit procedures (e.g. hot work, working at height, excavation work)

Prepare operating procedures

Conduct root cause analysis of work accidents, create reports, ensure necessary precautions are taken, and re-train the injured employee
